The third largest city in Israel is one of the calmest places in the Middle East. No wonder why - on the slopes of the Carmel Mountains, high above the gulf, from each window you can see and smell the sea. In downtown Haifa, during December holidays, near the beautiful Bahayan Temple and gardens, all 3 religions are celebrating Hannuka, Christmas and Id-el-Fitter, ignoring the hatred around Haifa offers the best selection of museums in Israel and the best panoramas of Mediterranean Sea.

The Mukhraka
The Carmel summit - At the highest point of the Carmel, in the place where, according the tradition, the prophet Elijah competed with the 400 pagan prophets, an impressive Carmelitic monastry was built. From the balcony there is an amazing 360 degree panorama: in the east the valleys, in the north the galilee, in the west - the sea and in the south - the Carmel, the Samana and coastline.
