Hamat Gader An ancient spa in the old town Gader lies in Yarmook Valley. The Romans with their Hedonistic love of the "good life " and their Fantastic buildings developed the spa and turned it into one of the most important spas of the day – four hot springs and one sweet water spring supplied healthy minerals to the spa complex. Parts of the spa together with impressive synagogue ruins were exposed through extensive archeological excavations. In 1977 the spa was reopened and become once again one of the most popular places for pure enjoyment, especially on winter days. Following the Romans love of crocodiles a group of American crocodiles was brought together with some big python snakes. The newcomers love the hot climate and the warm atmosphere and the community has prospered. |
